Frequently Asked Questions
Pickleball is a racquet of paddle sport that requires only a net and a surface. It can be played by two or four players at a time. Players use a paddle to hit a hollow, perforated plastic ball across the net.
The game resembles tennis but without the need for a well-installed and prepared surface or court. It is viewed as being, at least as entertaining as paddle but without the annoying noise of solid balls hitting walls.
All our PickleCourts consist of a carpet, either on a roll or by putting several carpet tiles together, double-sided tape to fixate the carpet (tiles) to the existing flat surface as well as two poles and a net
A PickleCourt is slightly smaller than a Padel court.
A full one-piece PickleCourt court ranges from approximately 360 kg to 540 kg. The 1.2×1.2 m PickleCourt tiles weigh approximately 3.6 kg per tile. Our sales team can help you determine which option best suits your needs.
While the setup, like rolling out and fixating of the carpet rolls or installation of the tiles is a matter of 10 to 30 minutes respectively, which is complemented by the simple placement of the two poles and fitting of the net, we advise granting the surface some time to acclimatise. Due to the horizontal forces exercised, the surface requires some time to adjust to the temperature onsite. This can take a few hours or up to 3 days.
These courts are suitable for short or long-term events and tournaments, seasonal use, or permanent installations.
The PickleCourt surface is 0.3 cm thick, irrespective of it being the roll-out court or the tiles.
